Materials and origin
Materials and origin
Made of bamboo. Produced in China for Norwegian På Stell.
På Stell's lint comb, made of bamboo. Removes lint from wool effectively and more gently than brushes.
How to use the nub comb:
- Place the wool garment on a flat surface.
- Gently pull the lint comb at a 45 degree angle up or down along the garment (hold on to the garment for better control).
- Clean the comb easily with your fingers
- The wool garment can be steamed afterwards so that the wool regains its natural shine.
Why does wool pill?
Woolen garments can pill when short fibers separate from the yarn. If the wool is mixed with synthetic fibers, it often pill more and the stronger fibers tend to hold onto the pills instead of letting them wear off naturally. Wool can also pill due to friction between a woolen garment and, for example, bags, bracelets or watches, or when washing, especially if it is washed together with other types of textiles.
