The cable knit sweater

The iconic Irish cable knit sweaters were originally knitted for fishermen - the airy wool kept them warm and the lanolin in the untreated wool kept them dry.The design later became world famous after Grace Kelly wore it when she was pictured on the cover of Vogue sometime in the 1950s.
