Maintenance
Maintenance
We recommend that you avoid washing your wool sweater. This will preserve the wool's natural properties and softness for much longer, and extend the life of the garment. Try airing the sweater instead, outside or inside. Leave it for at least a day to neutralize odors. Try to remove stains without washing the entire garment. If you need to wash the entire garment: Dry clean or machine wash on a gentle cycle with wool detergent or by hand, max 30 degrees. Gently shape the garment while it is wet. Dry flat.

The yarn is dyed and spun just 10 kilometers away from the knitwear factory.
The sweater is made by skilled craftsmen in Italy and is knitted "fully fashioned". This means that the different parts of the sweater are knitted in their final shape - instead of being cut out of a larger knitted piece - which results in neater seams and no excess scraps.
The story of the garment
The white-throated dipper is Norway's national bird. It is a passerine bird with brownish-black and white plumage, easily recognizable due to its incessant "nodding" motion when walking on land.
The white-throated dipper is 17-20 cm long, but much heavier than birds of the same size due to its massive bones. These help it dive, but also make it a clumsy flier.
The bird is found over most of Norway, as well as large parts of the rest of Europe and Asia. It always stays near running water, preferably fresh water. There it dives, swims with its wings and walks on the bottom to find food.
It's clear that the white-throated dipper had to get its own design among our popular bird sweaters! In super soft, Italian yarn and still with double ribbed edges for extra durability and a lovely fit.
