100% mechanically recycled yarn made from 95% wool, 5% other fibers (see why in the product description). Spun by Filatures du Parc in France and knitted by Sheentex in Mauritius.

Maintenance
We recommend that you avoid washing your wool sweater. This will preserve the wool's natural properties and softness much longer, and extend the life of the garment. Try airing the sweater instead, outside or inside. Leave it for at least a day to neutralize odors. Try to remove stains without washing the entire garment. If you need to wash the entire garment: Dry clean or gentle machine wash on a wool program with wool detergent or by hand, max 30 degrees. Use softener with lanolin for this sweater, as this yarn is drier than new yarn. Shape the garment carefully while it is wet. Dry flat.

The yarn is made from collected materials that are sorted by similar shades and have not been dyed again until spun a second time. The color shades create a beautiful melange yarn, with subtle shades of other colors.
The care label says 95% wool. This is because the manufacturer cannot guarantee that there will be no errors when the materials are sorted manually. However, the yarn should only contain wool.
The sweater is knitted "fully fashioned". This means that the different parts of the sweater are knitted in their final shape - instead of being cut out of a larger knitted piece - which gives neater seams and no excess scraps.
The story of the garment
Our bullfinch sweater came from an idea to make our own Christmas sweater. A Christmas sweater, but without glitter, plastic and batteries. A Christmas sweater that can be worn next Christmas too and, not to mention the rest of the year!
Many of us love the bullfinch, and it often only arrives in inhabited areas around Christmas time. With its easily recognizable red breast, it is one of the few small birds that everyone knows. The color red is also a color we associate with Christmas, so we like to decorate ourselves with a bullfinch on our chest to celebrate the holiday.
The rest of the year we wear it just as proudly, with the bird as a symbol of the vulnerable aspects of our nature that we want to take care of.
