Blue Tit (Cyanistes Caeruleus)

The blue tit is the bird that has inspired HEKNE's latest collection.

The blue tit is found in most areas of Europe and Western Asia, and is easily recognizable by its blue and yellow plumage.

It is not normally a migratory bird, but in cold areas it often moves closer to civilization in the winter to make it easier to find food. The bird lives in forested areas with deciduous trees.

At only 12 centimetres long and weighing 11 grams, the blue tit is a very agile little bird. When searching for food, it can hang from almost anywhere – upside down, and sometimes just one foot.
