The little flycatcher is the bird that has inspired HEKNE's spring/summer collection for 2017. The garments in the collection are named after places where the bird can be found during the summer months.

The little flycatcher is a small passerine bird. It is 11-12 centimeters long and weighs 10 grams. The female and the young have a color palette consisting of brown, white, black and gray, while the male stands out with his orange chest. You can recognize the whole family by looking at the tail, which is black with white spots on both sides.
During the breeding season, the little flycatcher can be found in moist, open woodlands in Eastern Europe and Central Asia. In winter, it migrates to South Asia.
