Maintenance
Washing: We recommend that you avoid washing your wool sweater. This will preserve the wool's natural properties and extend the garment's lifespan. Try airing the sweater instead, either outdoors or indoors. Let it rest for at least a day to neutralize odors. Try to remove stains without washing the entire garment. If you must wash the entire garment: Dry clean or machine wash gently on a wool program with wool detergent, or hand wash at a maximum of 30 degrees Celsius. Gently shape the garment while wet. Dry flat. Pilling: use a good electric defuzzer and shave, rather than brushing with a comb or brush, to avoid loosening new fibers from loosely spun yarn.

The sweater is made by skilled artisans in Italy and is knitted "fully fashioned". This means that the different parts of the sweater are knitted in their final shape - instead of being cut from a larger knitted piece - which results in neater, more elastic, and comfortable seams, and no unnecessary waste.
The yarn is dyed and spun just 10 kilometers from the knitwear factory.
Garment history
The Western house martin belongs to the swallow family and is 13-14 cm long. Its plumage has a completely white underside and a blue and black upper side, with a white transition between the back and the forked tail. The Western house martin also has feathered legs, being the only one of the passerine birds to do so.
The Western house martin nests in North Africa, all of Europe, and parts of Asia. In Norway, we have the small bird as a welcome guest during the summer months. It comes with old superstitions, weather forecasts, and for many, it is a beautiful symbol of luck, freedom, and belonging, among other things.
The Western house martin is listed as Near Threatened on the Norwegian Red List.
