Engel is a German, family-run company that has produced wool and silk clothing since 1930. They produce all their products themselves in Pfullingen.

GOTS is one of the world's strictest certification schemes for clothing and controls the entire production chain from fiber to finished product. Requirements are set for emissions, environment, and workers' safety and health, among other things. All products marked with GOTS must contain a minimum of 70% organically grown natural fibers.

Engel's products are not Superwash-treated. Instead, they are treated with Naturtexx®, which is completely free of harmful or toxic chemicals. This means that the garments can be machine washed on a gentle wool wash program, without having altered the natural properties of the fibers.

Maintenance

Gentle machine wash on wool program with wool detergent or hand wash, max 30 degrees and spin 400 revolutions per minute. Shape the garment by gently stretching it while wet. Dry flat. Do not place on a heater or use a tumble dryer.
