Engel is a German, family-run company that has produced clothing in wool and silk since 1930. They produce all their products themselves in Pfullingen.

GOTS is one of the world's strictest certification schemes for clothing and controls the entire value chain from fiber to finished product. Requirements are set for emissions, environment, and workers' safety and health, among other things. All products marked with GOTS must contain a minimum of 70% organically grown natural fibers.

Engel's products are not Superwash-treated. Instead, they are treated with Naturtexx®, which is completely free of harmful or toxic chemicals. This means the garments can be washed on a gentle wool wash program in the washing machine, without altering the natural properties of the fibers.

Maintenance

Gentle machine wash on wool program with wool detergent or by hand, max 30 degrees and spin at 400 revolutions per minute. Shape the garment by gently stretching it while wet. Dry flat. Do not place on a heater or use a tumble dryer.
