Guide til en mer miljøvennlig garderobe

Guide to a more eco-friendly wardrobe

We know it can be hard to know where to start. Here are 5 tips from us for those of you who want a more eco-friendly wardrobe:

  1. Do thorough research

    Take the time to read about the products to know what they are made of and where they come from. Good certifications can guarantee various aspects of production.

  2. Make thoughtful choices

    Buy garments that you like, that go well with the rest of your wardrobe, that are of high quality and that you think you will wear a lot!

  3. Take care of your clothes

    Avoid washing your wool garments. Wool has the amazing ability to clean itself when exposed to air. Let your wool garments "rest" for a day or two between uses to allow the fibers to restore their natural properties. By washing only the stain or dirty area instead of the entire garment, the wool will stay nicer and last much longer! But be quick; the quicker you are, the less the stain will be absorbed into the fibers and the easier it will be to remove.

  1. Repair what you can

    Again, the faster you repair, the less extensive the repair will be. Try your best and ask for help. The reward will be the amazing feeling of actually saving a garment!

  1. Buy less

    Environmentally friendly production that also takes into account human and animal welfare costs more. But if you choose well and buy less, you will see that the total cost to you does not have to be higher. Choosing consciously and taking care of your clothes will also make you love them more. And loved clothes last longer. Win, win!

Let's summarize with Vivienne Westwood's famous quote;

Buy less

Choose well

Make it last.

Good luck!
