- The original edition, with a pleasant spicy (oriental) scent
- Natural ingredients
The story of Papier d'Arménie's famous little booklet begins with a journey to Armenia in the 19th century. Frenchman Auguste Ponsot noticed that locals perfumed and disinfected their homes by burning an aromatic resin from the Styrax tree. Back in France, he developed the scented paper, which has been produced by the family business outside Paris since 1885.
The production of Papier d'Arménie takes a full 6 months: the resin is dissolved in alcohol over several weeks, before a secret composition of perfume extracts is added. The finished mixture is then used to impregnate the special blotting paper - manually, sheet by sheet.
How to use Papier d'Arménie:
- Detach a strip of paper from the small booklet and fold it into an accordion shape
- Place the paper on a fireproof surface
- Light the paper and then blow out the flame
- Allow it to burn slowly without a flame until it is consumed
Note: Do not leave the paper burning unattended. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid inhaling the smoke directly. Ventilate the room after use.
